Industry Affiliates

• AWI
  The Architectural Woodwork Institute aims to be the global leader in architectural woodwork standards, related interior finishes, industry-specific education and networking opportunities.

• CPA
  The Composite Panel Association represents the North American composite panel and decorative surfacing industries. NC State Hodges Wood Products Technical Services Lab serves as an academic member of the association and contributes by helping to develop and maintain standards, specifically for thermally fused laminate (TFL), medium density fiberboard (MDF), and particleboard.

• DHA
  The Decorative Hardwoods Association, formerly known as HPVA, represents the hardwood plywood, hardwood veneer, and engineered hardwood flooring industries. Hodges Lab is an associate member of the association and contributes to standard development and maintenance as well as developing industry relationships.

• NALFA
  The North American Laminate Flooring Association governs laminate flooring throughout the continent. NCSU Hodges Lab is their only academic and testing house member. We work closely with NALFA to develop standards, organize association events, and provide technical assistance to the industry category.

• NWFA
  The National Wood Flooring Association is the resource for all wood flooring questions. Their association is made up of a wide range of representation such as manufacturers, distributors, retailers, installers, importers/exporters, inspectors, consultants and their very own educational component- NWFA University. Our lab is a University member and interacts with the Association in order to bridge the gap between our Sustainable Materials & Technology undergraduates and their industry.
