Profitable Drying of Small Quanties of Lumber Workshop Highlights

The Profitable Drying of Small Sawmill Workshop was held on Wednesday and Thursday, September 25th and 26th, 2013 at the Wood Education and Resource Center in Princeton, West Virginia. This workshop focused on how small quantities of lumber can be profitably dried to support a wood products business to benefit the owner/operator as well as the local community. Twenty attendees contributed to the discussions of important business issues related to profitably drying small quantities of lumber for individuals and businesses, as well as four session presenters that included Harry Watt of North Carolina State University, Phil Mitchell of North Carolina State University, and Brian Bond of Virginia Tech.
