Market effects, related to higher fiber prices and constraints in fiber supply, is a hot topic in the industry today. We are excited to present Tissue Day at NC State 2018. This symposium will focus on “Fiber Development, Sourcing, Trends, and Innovation.” More than 20 global experts will discuss trends in the tissue industry, changes in consumption patterns, development, and outlook and how that translates into fiber demand, supply and pricing. In this venue, we will also discuss fiber development and use of nanotechnology in tissue manufacturing.
Who Should Attend? – What will you learn?
- Sourcing/buyers personnel will learn about trends in the tissue fiber market and forecasts.
- Process engineers will learn about the different fiber types, morphology and effect of refining on tissue performance.
- Controllers and financial managers will understand how market effects will affect fiber and production costs.
- Production managers and R&D personnel will learn about fiber alternatives and technology available.
- Vice-presidents and directors will learn how consumption patterns and fibers availability will shape the manufacturing landscape.
Topics of discussion
- Fiber sourcing and market trends.
- Developing alternative fibers to offset market effects.
- Fiber development for new applications.
- Discussion on the use of nano materials in tissue applications.
- Discussion on drivers for value: linking fiber to product features.
- Market outlook for 2018.
