Engineering Camp for High School Students Promotes Sustainable Material Development

The College of Natural Resources hosted twenty-four high school students on campus for the Paper Science and Engineering (PSE) Camp on Thursday, June 23rd. Throughout the week, the students engaged in hands-on lab activities about sustainable biomaterials. This was exemplified through their participation in the Packing Peanuts lab, where students focused on the development of sustainable packaging material. At the end of the week, the students were invited to present their findings to their friends and families. Dr. Venditti, PI of the USDA grant, said, “The experiment went great. Another success stemming from the USDA grant.”
