Pender County Recreation Coordinator
Located in Burgaw, NC, this position plans develops, coordinates, implements, and oversees recreation and athletic programs for Pender County. Also assists with public relation duties such as preparing and distributing flyers, press releases, and brochures and preparing and administering individual program or facility budgets as appropriate, monitors expenditures.

Waterfowl Hunt Assistance at Mattamuskeet Refuge
About 58,000 visitors use the Refuge annually to hunt, fish, and observe and photograph wildlife. Established in 1934, the 50,180-acre Refuge consists of open water, marsh, forest and croplands. Interns will check-in hunters, conduct the stand-by draw, close gates, and make sure hunters check-out appropriately. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Winter Interns
For those that prefer hiking over hunting, consider a winter internship to assist with snowshoe field trips, weekend hikes and virtual distance learning programs. Interns will work, live, and play in beautiful northwest lower Michigan. Work includes presenting curriculum-based lessons, leading snowshoe hikes for 3rd-5th graders and for the general public, and creating post content on the park’s social media platforms.

California University of Pennsylvania Instructor
The Department of Business, Economics, and Enterprise Sciences is hiring a part-time temporary instructor position beginning Spring 2022 semester. Instructor will teach in-person classes including REC 165: Introduction to Recreation and Leisure, REC 195: Leisure and Wellness Recreation, REC 280: Adventure and Outdoor Recreation Outfitting, and REC 285: Water-Based Recreation Management. Based in Raleigh, this small business has an internship involving their retail shop in Downtown Raleigh and at events around the Triangle. Large focus on social media, marketing and branding. Internship is unpaid but opportunities for paid shifts are available. PRTM Alum, Katie Schell interned with Triangle Pop-Up and now works for them as an Event Coordinator and Brand Manager!

CORRAL Riding Academy Spring Internships

Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center
The center provides day and overnight programs to elementary, middle, and high school students on our 220 acres in Reidsville, NC.  Paid program staff provide instruction for nearly 20 programs in environmental science and cultural history to elementary school students in the Environmental Education Program. Staff facilitate team challenges and Low and High Ropes course elements in the Soaring Thru Spaces program, as well as provide leadership for GPS based science activities in the ORIENT program. Paid staff training is provided at the beginning of the season along with 3-day high ropes course training. Internships may also be available.

New Graduate Center Career Mentoring Program
Graduate student mentors are available to discuss applications and required materials, or just chat about the process. We have mentors who can address questions about graduate school and federal/state, non-profit, or industry jobs and can connect you to someone with relevant experience. Mentors offer drop-in office hours, one-on-one meetings, and lunch chats about potential careers. Check ’em out!

Zebulon Parks and Athletic Manager
Position will assist in planning, supervising, directing, and scheduling athletic leagues, park maintenance, landscaping, small construction, and assisting the Director of Recreation and Parks in the overall operation of the department. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Parks Administration, Turf Grass Management, or closely related occupational field. Part-time job for graduate students to work one-on-one with student-athletes to help them develop the academic skills necessary for success. Candidates should have an interest in college athletics; knowledge of study skills, time management skills, and learning techniques; and the ability to work with students on reading comprehension and writing. New mentors receive comprehensive training and orientation, and ongoing professional development.
