This one day workshop hosted by the WERC on Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 in Princeton, WV combined a great networking opportunity with both classroom and outdoor educational opportunities. This workshop focuses on the key areas of managing a small sawmill operation for profitability-equipment, business management and marketing, log and lumber grading, sawblade selection, lumber drying in yards and kilns, and outdoor demonstrations sawing logs.
Sawmill Magazine is our media sponsor for our WERC workshops.
PA Woodmizer’s Marty and Lisa Parsons provided our demonstrations of a portable sawmill and edger. Woodmizer’s website address is www.woodmizer.com. They also provided the Woodmizer sawmill that Marty offered as a door prize.
This is the Link to download the workshop pdf registration form and brochure. The cost to attend was $30 payable in advance with the EarlyBird registration on Eventbrite website and $40 after May 23rd, and included a buffet lunch.
