Que es ISTF?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The NC State Chapter of the International Society of Tropical Foresters (ISTF) is a student-run non-profit organization that acts in concert with the Office for International Programs of the College of Natural Resources to enhance the international perspective of forestry studies at NC State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ISTF Objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To advance the science, technology, education and practice of professional forestry in the tropics and to use the knowledge and skills of the profession to benefit society as a whole; To encourage and support the activities of the International Programs of the College of Natural Resources and the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources at NC State; and To encourage and support ISTF members in their personal and professional development while undertaking their degree programs at NC State<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meetings and Membership <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ISTF meets to discuss and exchange ideas on international forestry and environmental issues. Topics typically include current research in the tropics in which students and faculty are actively involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, ISTF organizes events such as book donation initiatives, special guest lectures, and student engagement activities. Members also present their work at national conferences to broaden professional exchange and visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Membership is open to anyone with an interest in international forestry and environmental issues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Join the ISTF Listserve to stay informed about upcoming events.
