Forest Lodge Farms Field Day (Nov 7, 2013)

Please join the Georgia Forestry Commission, Gopher Tortoise Council, Orianne Society, GADNR, University of Georgia, and several other organizations for a family farm Landowner Field Day at Forest Lodge Farms (5009 Highway 97 South, Camilla, GA 31730) on November 7, 2013.

This is for landowners and others in Southwest Georgia who are interested learning more about the following topics:

Wildlife Management, Hunting leases, Timber Security, Consultant Services, Service Vendors, Georgia Forestry Association, Forestry Herbicides, Timber Marketing, Forest Stewardship, Forest Health, Prescribed Fire, Tree Farm Program, Cost Share Programs, Pine Silvopasture, Longleaf Establishment, Forest Vegetation Control (Masticator), GFC Services, Consulting Forester Services, Pinestraw Sales, and Gopher Tortoises.

RSVP is required to GFC (229-386-3845) so that they can plan adequately for lunch. Trams will run continuously so that attendees can spend as much time as they want at each site, and get on and off the trams as desired. Lunch and a t-shirt will be provided. Registration is FREE and will begin at 9am.

Assembly and attendee parking for the Field Day will be in the pecan grove on the south side of GA Highway 97 (Bainbridge Highway) at mile marker 11, about half way between Camilla and Hopeful, GA.
