2025 A GIFT SEED Kickoff Meeting
Setting the A GIFT SEED Project into motion.
The A GIFT SEED team held a kickoff meeting January 23rd-25th of 2025, bringing together a group of project leaders, researchers, and collaborators to start the project off on a strong start. Seventy participants from across North America met at NC State University, along with 9 participants joining via Zoom.
The kickoff meeting began with posters and chalk-talks at Lonnie Poole golf course, where students and postdocs presented their current research. On Friday, a workshop was held at the NC State Plant Sciences Initiative building, where attendees listened to presentations and worked on activities together that helped to map out ways to meet project objective timelines. With the meeting coming to an end on Saturday morning, meeting attendees had the opportunity to engage with advisory board chairs and establish a to-do list of immediate project goals, generating a plan of action as the project was officially set into motion.
